Printmaking and Drawing Workshops
Would you like to try your hand at traditional printmaking at a unique York venue? PICA Studios is an artist led collective of 23 artists, makers and writers housed in an 18th century printworks right in the centre of York. Lesley Shaw is offering half day workshops exploring the traditional print techniques of linocut and drypoint, using a Hawthorn etching press. Workshops are limited to 4 students to ensure individual attention, so book soon to guarantee your place.
Or perhaps drawing is more your thing. Due to popular demand, Lesley is now offering new figure drawing and portrait drawing workshops. These are 3 hour workshops, with the opportunity to indulge in a full day of drawing for those who really want to get stuck in. These workshops offer full tuition with lots of demonstrations, tips and techniques to improve drawing skills, but also to show that drawing can be fun when we allow ourselves to be brave and carefree with it. There will be a live clothed model to draw. Workshops are limited to 5 places so be quick!
